Principles of Coaching

The priority is to achieve results that YOU are delighted with
-
Goal Setting – You need to be clear about what you want, and WHY it is important to YOU.
-
Individualisation – I believe people have more similarities than differences, but the service should be tailored to the individual based on their experience, age, goals, personality, lifestyle etc.
-
Planning – You need a training programme that is right for you with a clear plan of progression.
-
Action – It’s essential to put the plan into practice.
-
Nutrition – You can’t lose fat, build muscle or perform at your best without the right nutrition.
-
Lifestyle – Things like lack of sleep, high stress or lack of daily activity can affect your progress and should be improved.
-
Education – Training with a coach is a great opportunity to learn and ask questions so you can understand the process.
-
Accountability – I will measure your progress regularly to ensure you are moving in the right direction.
-
Injury Prevention – Nothing slows down progress as much as injuries. Building a foundation of good technique and selecting the right exercises for you is key to staying injury free.
-
Enjoyment – You will need to do things you don’t enjoy, but if we find exercises and foods that you enjoy and fit your goals, you will be much more likely to succeed.
-
Communication – We’re working as a team. I need to make sure you understand what you need to do, and why. The more feedback you can give me in return, the better.
-
Consistency – Results don’t happen overnight, and you should be prepared to apply these principles over the long term.
